Agrivoltaics: trackers and structures for agri-PV

We design solar trackers and fixed structures for agrivoltaic (agri-PV) systems that combine solar power generation with farming or livestock on the same land. With more than 15 years of experience in both the PV structures sector and agriculture, we deliver solutions that work from both the energy and the agronomic point of view.

Agrivoltaic trackers

Our trackers are designed to effectively address the particular challenges of integrating agriculture and solar energy, ensuring optimal performance in both energy production and crop quality. We have 3 types of trackers according to your needs:

  • Conventional
  • Advanced
  • Advanced High Capacity

Agrivoltaic fixed structures

These structures have the height and stiffness needed to share space with the crops growing on the land.

This structure allows for design flexibility and terrain adaptability, while maintaining the quality, rigidity and safety of all our structures.

What is agrivoltaics?

Agrivoltaics (agri-PV) means installing PV modules on farmland so that electricity generation and agricultural production coexist on the same plot, a dual use of land. Well designed, it makes better use of the soil, keeps farming activity alive, increases the profitability of the land and can create a more stable microclimate for crops.

The structure is the key: it must provide the height, stiffness and spacing that the crop and the farm machinery need, and adapt to land that is often sloped or uneven.

Advantages of our agrivoltaic solutions

  • Over existing crops. Our high-capacity agrivoltaic tracker adapts to crops already in place, to variable post spacing and to slopes, with patented solutions such as Flexslope.
  • Standard farm machinery can work under the panels with the advanced agrivoltaic tracker.
  • Smart control of module position to regulate the light and shade the plants receive throughout the day.
  • For many crops: vineyards, orchards, olive groves, arable crops and livestock, as well as PV greenhouses.
  • Proven track record: 100 MW of high-capacity agrivoltaic projects in France and Germany, trackers for 18 agrivoltaic plants in Italy and an agreement with Talesun to develop 1 GW of agrivoltaic projects.

National rules differ: France (loi APER), Germany (DIN SPEC 91434, EEG) and Portugal (sistema agrovoltaico) each set their own criteria. We design each project to meet the height, spacing and reversibility its market requires.

Frequently asked questions

Agrivoltaics, agri-PV or agrisolar?

Different names for the same concept: installations that combine PV generation with agricultural or livestock use of the land.

Which crops are compatible with an agrivoltaic installation?

We design projects that combine PV with vineyards, orchards, olive groves, arable crops or livestock, as well as structures for PV greenhouses. Each project is adapted to the typical crops of its region.

Can it be installed over an existing crop?

Yes. The high-capacity agrivoltaic tracker is designed to adapt to crops already in place, to variable post spacing and to sloped terrain, without interrupting farming.

Can farm machinery still be used?

Yes. Our advanced agrivoltaic tracker system allows standard farm machinery to work under the panels.

Tracker or fixed structure for agrivoltaics?

The tracker adjusts module position to balance power generation and crop shading; the fixed structure is simpler and suits greenhouses or vertical bifacial layouts, for example. We advise according to crop and terrain.
